Estee Lauder Makeup Tutorial

SAMANTHA went 1-to-1 hands-on makeup tutorial session with our Beauty Experts, where she learnt simple Estée Lauder exclusive Makeup Techniques to create different looks using the GLAMOUR IS GOLDEN collection!

Attracted by the good promotional deal by Estee Lauder, my mum decided to get her hands on this exclusive makeup set at S$108. I accompanied her to do so because there is this free 30min 1-to-1 hands-on makeup tutorial session, upon purchase.

The catch is that you have to spend S$100 at least, on anything Estee Lauder carries, before entitling yourself to get it at S$108. However, I must say the whole deal is really worth your bucks.

Upon looking at the exterior of the golden glamorous box and what’s inside the set, I was very WOW by it. I thought to myself ‘THE GOLDEN BOX IS SUPER ATTRACTIVE & WHY SO MANY THINGS YET SO CHEAP STILL!’ All the products manufactured seem luxurious and are packed in gorgeous looking packages or flacons. Really, I fell in love with the golden cosmetic traveler with matching makeup case and great stand-up mirror! Not just a pretty face, it includes many make up essentials such as blushers, brushes, 4 lipsticks, eye shadows etc. Besides the set of makeup at S$108 (The collection is worth S$800. My mum supported her buy by saying the 4 lipsticks which was in the set, if bought alone, is already worth more than S$108!), they offer you a free 1-to-1 hands-on makeup tutorial session with our Beauty Experts, where you can learn simple Estée Lauder exclusive Makeup Techniques to create different looks using the GLAMOUR IS GOLDEN collection + a S$20 Estee Lauder Voucher (Somewhat like a cash rebate!)

However, personally, despite Estee Lauder being a world renowned cosmetic brand which has been on the market for over 60 years now since the company was founded in 1946, I wasn’t very impressed. Perhaps it’s just not my style. They market themselves as ‘high quality cosmetics, which could be used by women at any age’, however, I feel that Estee Lauder targets the older & more mature age group, at least for this set in particular. I like make up that are fresh, bright and best if it’s shimmery. It attracts my attention more and also, makes my eyes ‘more awake’. The set which I was looking at was totally the opposite! The colours of the eye shadows were very soft, pale and a little more to the darker tone.
